Alex Lewis is a contemporary figurative surrealist working primarily in inks and charcoal. He allows his work to emerge through automatic drawing techniques sharpened by a strong technical basis of traditional drawing skills. Having recently graduated with a BFA in painting and wrapping up his large scale installation final Premonitions: The Search for Uncertainty, he is ready to share his premonitions with the world.

I am extremely grateful for the support I have received from everyone who has come across my art. I have many plans and goals I have yet to accomplish and I hope to share them with you soon. My biggest inspirations are the people I have met in my life and the experiences I have shared with them. I often notice you in the faces that show up on my canvas. None of this could have been done without many people: most notably my mother, who always supported my career even when others doubted it. My life partner Mia, who has been a constant source of inspiration and love. Molly, Rickie, Mando, and the many others who helped me and gave me the confidence to keep going.
